We are thrilled to announce that we have exceeded $450,000 in donations through our Bottles For The Bush appeal in only 13 weeks. 100% of these funds go to Rural Aid to support our farmers who are on a continuous struggle during these devastating bushfires and the drought. A massive thank you to every recycler who has chosen to donate the 10c from their eligible drink containers when returning them to a TOMRA machine across NSW, QLD, and NT.
Rural Aid will be using these much-needed funds to cover the cost of hay and water for their remaining livestock as well as providing counseling to the farmers battling this difficult time.
When we launched this appeal, we aimed to raise $250,000 by the end of February and it is so heart-warming to have reached this so early on. But the appeal is not over! Bottles for the Bush will remain on all TOMRA machines until 23rd February so we are now hoping to DOUBLE THIS and raise $500,000 by the end of the appeal. Every time you select “DONATE” on the touchscreen of our machines your donation will help Rural Aid.
Every container counts, just a few here or there all adds up.
Our deepest thoughts are with the families, communities and support crews affected by the devastating fires & drought across Australia, we want to thank all the recyclers in NSW, QLD, and Darwin who have donated their bottles and cans so far.
